UPDATE @ 6.30 AM | Some residual delays for Gold Coast motorists, after an early morning truck crash on the M1.
It’s understood a truck lost a wheel in the northbound lanes through Robina just before 4.00 am.
The vehicle then crashed, causing a bit of a mess on the motorway.

It forced emergency services to close off two lanes while they cleaned up the damage.
Luckily, no major injuries were reported in the incident, but crews remained on the scene for a couple of hours.
Paramedics report that the driver suffered a leg injury, and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Traffic delays stretched all the way back to Palm Beach at their worst but were beginning to ease around 6.30 am.
Police confirmed with myGC that the lanes were clear from around 6.30 am, and that traffic should be getting back to normal.

Two northbound lanes have been closed.
There are heavy delays back to Reedy Creek as a result.
Queensland Police have urged motorists to take alternative routes.
