A truck driver is recovering in a Newcastle hospital after being seriously injured in a crash near Singleton on Wednesday night.
The accident happened along the New England Highway, near Hebden Road, at Ravensworth just before 10pm.
Police said a B-double truck loaded with paper burst into flames after ploughing into a parked car.

The driver of the truck, a man in his 40s, suffered severe leg injuries.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed by ambulance to Singleton Hospital in a serious condition.
He has since been flown by Westpac Rescue Helicopter to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
The New England Highway was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the fire and cleared the wreckage.
A crime scene was established as officers examined the scene.
