A TRUCK driver has been killed and another critically injured after their two vehicles collided and burst into flames on the Pacific Highway in NSW.

Police say the crash happened shortly after 3am on Saturday when the two heavy-vehicles collided into the southbound lanes near Taree, on the state’s Mid North Coast.

Sadly, one truck driver died at the scene.

The other is understood to have been rushed to hospital with critical injuries.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

I was one of the 4 guys to pull the truck driver out of the truck that was on fire. Is there any news on his condition?
