GOLD Coast showgoers will see fireworks light up the night, with the back-drop of the famous Surfers Paradise skyline, for the next 33 years.
The Show Society has signed a 33-year deal with the Gold Coast Turf Club, with the annual event to be held at the Bundall racecourse from this August.
Show Manager Lavinia Rampino explains, all the family favourites will relocate from Parklands.

“We’re taking over the two carparks and will also have the use of all the grounds, track and inner park for sideshow alley, pavilions and animal nursery,” Ms Rampino said.
“We’re closing off Racecourse Drive to the round-about. There’ll be a small amount of parking and we are currently working with Council to facilitate ‘park and ride’ options,” Ms Rampino added.
A highlight of the annual show is always the fireworks to finish off the night time entertainment, and Ms Rampino promises they will be better than ever.
“Having the evening entertainment and fireworks in the arena with the backdrop of the Surfers Paradise skyline will be amazing. Really, you won’t be able to beat that.”
A Sunday race meeting will be added to make the most of the location, along with a light festival.
The Show Society had been looking for a new home since the Queensland Government took over Parklands for the construction of the Athlete’s Village for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The 2014 show will be held at the Gold Coast Turf Club over the weekend of August 29-31.
