Turkish wedding suicide bomber was a child

It has been revealed that the suicide bomber who claimed the lives of more than 50 people at a wedding ceremony, was a child aged as young as 12-years-old.

The shocking attack occurred in the Turkish city of Gaziantep, whilst wedding guests were dancing in the street celebrating, BBC reports.

According to president Tayyip Erdogan, the bombing was carried out by a child aged between 12 and 14, however Islamic State is believed to be behind it.


51 people, including children, were killed in the attack and 69 were wounded.
