UPDATE | Tweed police find woman missing almost a week
UPDATE: Tweed Police have released a statement saying that they’ve located the woman who went missing from northern New South Wales a week ago.
“A woman missing from the state’s north coast has been found.
“The woman, aged 48, was last seen leaving a home on McKenzie Avenue, Pottsville, about 1:30am on Monday 22 February 2021.
“When she failed to return home, officers from Tweed Heads Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
“Following further investigation and a public appeal, the woman was located about 6.30pm (28 February 2021) at Boambee East,” the police statement reads.
EARLIER: Police are calling for help from the public to find a woman who’s been missing from northern NSW for almost a week.
She was last seen leaving a home along McKenzie Avenue in Pottsville.
That was around 1.30 am last Monday, February 22.
Police were notified when she failed to return home, with family concerned for her well-being.
