Tweed youngster breaks leg in motocross accident

A TWEED Heads boy may have a broken leg, after coming off his motocross bike.

It’s believed the youngster was riding on a track near Warwick on Saturday morning when an accident occurred in front of him. He tried to avoid it, but also fell and injured himself.

RACQ CareFlight Toowoomba’s rescue helicopter flew to the scene and assisted Ambulance staff in treating the boy for a possible fracture to his right femur.

Along with his mother he was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
