Two 18yo women charged over Gold Coast knifepoint robbery

TWO 18-year-old women have been charged after they allegedly held up a service station on the Gold Coast.

The pair allegedly entered the Bundall store around 8.30pm on Wednesday night and attempted to buy a number of items.

The then left the Ashmore Road business but returned a short time later.


One of the women is accused of approaching the counter and pulling out a knife before stealing a small quantity of goods.

She then left the store with the woman, who waiting outside during the ordeal.

Police were called and officers tracked down the women nearby. They allegedly seized two small flick knives and a quantity of drugs (clonazepam and pseudoephedrine).

The 18-year-old’s, both from Benowa, have since been charged.

One is facing one count each of stealing, possessing dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of controlled drug and possession of a knife. The other is charged with armed robbery and stealing.

They are both due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
