Two 18yos charged after alleged axe assault in Logan

An 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been charged following an overnight assault at a fast food restaurant in Marsden, which left a man with serious injuries.

It will be alleged that the 23-year-old victim was with a group that became involved in a verbal altercation with another group shortly before 2.00am, in the restaurant’s carpark on Chambers Flat Road.

The victim attempted to leave with the group, before he was allegedly struck in the back of the head with an axe by a member of the other group, and fell to the ground.

As a result, the victim sustained two large lacerations to his head.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

An 18-year-old Beenleigh man has been charged with one count each of common assault and affray.

He’ll front Beenleigh Magistrates Court next month.

While, an 18-year-old Bethania woman was also charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm and affray.

She will front Beenleigh Magistrates Court in May.

Charged with common assault for hitting him in the back of the head with an axe… That should be attempted murder
