UDPATE: A multi-car crash on the M1 is causing some major delays on Gold Coast roads this morning.

A four-car crash occurred northbound at Exit 92 in Palm Beach around 7.20am, blocking one lane.

A horse float is said to have been involved in the accident.

One person has been taken to Tweed Heads Hospital with minor injuries following the crash.

That accident is causing major hold ups all the way back towards Tweed Heads at the moment.

It also appears to be causing dramas heading south from Mudgeeraba to Palm Beach.

The Gold Coast Highway is also experiencing major congestion as people go around the accident.

It’s at an absolute crawl from Tugun through to Burleigh.

All side roads connecting to the majors through that area are all congested as a result.

Motorists are being urged to delay any travel through the area if possible.
