Two airlifted to hospital after single-vehicle crash in NSW
TWO people have been airlifted to hospital following a single-vehicle crash on the NSW Mid North Coast.
The accident happened on the Bucketts Way at Tinonee, near Taree, on Friday afternoon.
A man and a woman were seriously injured when their car left the road and travelling down an embankment where it came to rest wrapped around a tree.
The pair were reportedly trapped in the wreckage for sometime before they were cut free.
They were transported by ambulance to a rescue helicopter which landed nearby.
The pair have since been airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle with chest and facial injuries.
It’s understood they were flown in a serious but stable condition.
