Two Australians have been named as the men who died in a horror climbing accident in New Zealand.
New Zealand police said in a statement on Thursday that 62-year-old Brett Lentfer and 44-year-old James Spaile were killed after falling hundreds of metres from the side of a cliff face near Queenstown on Wednesday.
It’s understood the pair were climbing an area known as the Grand Traverse on the popular Remarkables mountain range when they fell to their deaths.
