Two charged after blaze destroys Gold Coast house boat

TWO teenagers have been charged over a blaze that destroyed a house boat on the northern Gold Coast on Wednesday evening.

It’s alleged the pair boarded the vessel, which was anchored in the Pimpama River near the Colman Road boat ramp, at around 5pm.

They’re accused of trashing the vessel, damaging property and throwing furniture into the water, before setting the boat alight.
