Two charged after man stabbed multiple times in group attack, Byron Bay

Two people have been charged over a violent stabbing attack in Byron Bay, which left another man with multiple injuries.

Police allege that a 34-year-old man became involved in an altercation with a group of men in Apex Park just around 12.30am yesterday.

Two men then allegedly assaulted him before stabbing him several times.


The group then fled, while emergency services arrived at the scene.

The man was assessed for wounds to his back, chest and neck, and was taken to the Tweed Heads Hospital for further treatment.

Police tracked down a 25-year-old and 24-year-old nearby. They were both arrested and later charged with affray, and wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

They’re both due in Byron Bay Local Court today.
