Two women will appear in court later this month after they were charged over the alleged domestic assault of a man with a hammer at Waverley yesterday.

About 5pm on Friday 17 July 2015 a 47-year-old man who was visiting a friend at Waverley and had parked his car in Judges Lane heard the sound of breaking glass.
The man attempted to return to his car and tried to leave his friend’s home through the garage.
He was confronted by two women who forced their way inside the garage and then assaulted him with a metal object. The man’s friend tried to intervene but one of the women attempted to hit him with a trophy.
Both women, who were known to the man, then fled in a silver Ford motor vehicle.
Police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command attended and identified several witnesses who alleged they saw two women armed with a hammer.
The injured man was treated by Ambulance Paramedics and conveyed to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment to head injuries.
About 10.20pm yesterday a 48-year-old woman was arrested in Coogee and conveyed to Waverley Police Station where she was charged with malicious damage and affray.
Investigators seized the woman’s vehicle and a hammer located in it, both are to undergo further forensic examination.
About 6.45am today a 22-year-old woman was arrested at South Coogee and conveyed to Waverley Police Station. She was later charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and common assault.
Both women were served with AVO’s and granted bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on 23 July 2015.
