Two men accused of bashing another man at a house party north of the Gold Coast have had their charges upgraded to murder after the victim died in hospital last week.
The 37-year-old man suffered serious head injuries after being brutally attacked in the front yard of a home at Beenleigh around 9.40pm on Saturday May 20.
He was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition and spent three days in intensive care before sadly succumbing to his injuries and passing away on May 23.

A 17-year-old man from Buccan and a 36-year-old man from Bahrs Scrub have since had their charges upgraded from grievous bodily harm to one count each of murder.
They are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court this morning.
