Two charged after Ormeau park vandalised with graffiti
Two people have been charged after an Ormeau park was vandalised over the weekend.
Police say that in the early hours of Saturday, Fig Tree Park off Bloomfield Street and Hazelmere Street, Ormeau, was extensively damaged with graffiti.

The community alerted officers to the vandalism and a short time later they identified two offenders.
One of the offenders will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 4 in relation to wilful damage charges and the other offender was dealt with under the Youth Justice Act 1992.

Police say Gold Coast City Council is aware of the graffiti damage and that the park will be cleaned.
