Two children dead, toddler fighting for life after horror family car crash
Two children have died, and a toddler is fighting for life in hospital, after a family car plunged into a dam in Beaudesert yesterday afternoon.
Six people were travelling in the car, as it travelled westbound along Beaudesert-Boonah Road around 2.00pm.
The car reportedly lost control and rolled into the Wyaralong dam, before witnesses and emergency services rushed to recover the people inside.
Two children – a five-year-old and a 13-year-old – were pronounced dead at the scene.
Another child was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition, where they continue to fight for life.
A fourth child was treated on scene, while a man and woman were also transported to hospital for further assessment.
Investigations are continuing.
Beaudesert-Boonah Road was closed for th rest of the afternoon.
