GOLD Coasters have just two days left to donate to the Gold Coast’s community Homeless Connect program.
Supported by The City of Gold Coast, the annual event brings together community organisations and volunteers to host a ‘one-stop’ shop of free services for people experiencing homelessness.
This year, the event will be held on August 6 at Carrara’s Metricon Stadium and the city is calling on the community to donate everyday items to distribute on the day.

Toiletries are especially needed again this year, along with other essentials such as disposable nappies, clothing, canned goods, blankets, sleeping bags and bottled water.
Last year over 800 people experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, attended the event to access free services and information.
Gold Coasters have until July 30 to donate goods at City of Gold Coast Customer Service Centres (Surfers Paradise and Nerang), the Upper Coomera Community Centre, Elanora Library, Runaway Bay Library, 91.7 ABC Coast FM studio in Mermaid Beach or ABC Stores in Robina or Helensvale.
Donations are collected on a regular basis.
