Two lucky Gold Coasters have taken division one win in Saturday’s Gold Lotto over the weekend.
A Mudgeeraba woman and a Currumbin man held two of the 14 division one winning entries, scoring them $428,018.10 each!
The Mudgeerabarbarian says she’ll be using her winnings to retire immediately, while the already retired Currumbin man will share his winnings with his family.

“I worked a night shift on Saturday night and then checked my lottery ticket,” the Mudgeeraba woman told The Lott.
“I checked it about 10 times. I couldn’t believe it.
“I haven’t been able to sleep since!
“It’s so surreal really, because I have never won anything in my life.
“It’s absolutely fantastic! It’s lovely. My head is going around in circles. I am well over-due to retire. I am going to take a big holiday and then retire!
The Currumbin man said he almost changed his ticket numbers but is now thankful he didn’t.
“Bloody hell!” he laughed to a Lott rep on the phone.
“I am so nervous and so tired! I haven’t slept since I checked the ticket on Saturday night!
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for 20 years and I felt as though I wasn’t having much luck, so I almost changed the numbers a couple of weeks ago.
“Something made me stop and I am so glad! It couldn’t have come at a better time.
“We’re retired so we can really enjoy it. We have plenty of children and grandchildren we can share it with!”
The tickets were purchased at Mudgeeraba Newsagency and Currumbin Fair Newsagency.
