There are a couple of hazard reduction burns set to take place on the Gold Coast today, with residents warned of some smoke in the area.
Gold Coast Council has given notice of a burn in the Wongawallan Conservation Area both today and tomorrow, weather permitting.
It’ll take place around 20A Gresswell Crescent in Upper Coomera, which could see nearby residents affected by smoke.

Meantime, another hazard reduction burn is continuing in Molendinar today.
Fire crews will be on scene at Watergum Reserve at 40 Olden Avenue across the day.
There’s a warning that smoke could impact motorists along Smith Street, and in the area around Gold Coast University Hospital.
The smoke effects will be closely monitored by officials.
