Two men attacked and robbed in Surfers

TWO men have been attacked and robbed by a group in Surfers Paradise in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police say the pair were walking along River Parade around 3am when they were approached by a group of about five people, one a woman.

The group demanded the man hand over their money and other property.


One of the men, a 44-year-old, ran off and was allegedly pursued by one of the group who then punched him in the head.

The other man, a 37 year old, was hit from behind causing him to fall to the ground unconscious. His phone was then stolen.

He was taken to hospital with head injuries but they’re not believed to be life threatening.

One of the offenders has been described as a man of Caucasian appearance, 176cm tall and of slim build with short blonde hair and piercings through his lower lip.

The woman is described as Caucasian, 163cm tall, of heavy build with long blonde hair and also had her lower lip pierced.
