Two men charged after police discover drugs and cash at Gold Coast home

TWO men have been charged after police discovered illegal drugs and cash at a house in Palm Beach this morning.

Just after 8.00am, officers from the Gold Coast Rapid Action and Patrols executed a search warrant on the Fifth Avenue property, where they allegedly located a quantity of cannabis, pharmaceutical drugs and $1550 in cash.

A 62-year-old Palm Beach man has been given a notice to appear for one count each of produce a dangerous drug, possess a dangerous drug, possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, fail to properly dispose of needle and syringe, possess thing used and three counts of unlawful possession of a restricted drug.

A 63-year-old Palm Beach man has also been given a notice to appear for one count each of produce a dangerous drug, possess a dangerous drug, possess thing used and proceeds of crime.

Both men are due to face Southport Magistrates Court on August 23.
