Two young men are due to face court today charged over a violent bag snatching at Carrara that left an elderly woman injured.
Police say around 4.00pm on Sunday, a 79-year-old woman was walking with a friend along Nerang-Broadbeach Road when two men drove past the pair and snatched the woman’s handbag from her shoulder.
The elderly woman suffered serious bruising to her right wrist as a result of the violent robbery.

A 20-year-old Coombabah man has been charged with one count of robbery in company, three counts of receiving tainted property, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of breach of bail and one count each of stealing, possess dangerous drug and possess tainted property.
A 17-year-old Paradise Point man has been charged with four counts of robbery, three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, six counts of stealing, two counts of receiving tainted property, two counts of possess dangerous drug and one count each of possess utensil, possess tainted property and breach of bail
Both men are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.
