Two men fighting for life after separate Gold Coast crashes

Two men are in critical conditions in hospital following separate accidents on the Gold Coast.

The first incident occurred at Tugun just before 7.00pm last night, when a man suffered significant injuries after falling from his bicycle along Kropp Lane.

The man, aged in his 40s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Around an hour later, emergency crews were called to Coomera after a man suffered critical injuries in a horror electric scooter crash.

According to police, the 31-year-old local man was riding a scooter along Daintree Drive when he lost control of the device and collided with a parked car.

He suffered critical head and chest injuries and was also transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating and is appealing for anyone with information that may be able to assist investigators to come forward.
