Two men injured in Pimpama shooting

Two men are in custody following a shooting incident at Pimpama last night.

Police attended an address in Old Wharf Road after 5pm last night, where a 24-year-old man and a 58-year-old were located with gunshot wounds.

Both were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 41-year-old man was apprehended shortly afterwards by police at an address of Dewrang Drive, while officers continued looking for another man and woman who they believed were involved.

Shortly afterwards police located a 39-year-old man at an Ormeau address, and are still seeking the woman to assist with their inquiries.

The 41-year-old Pimpama man has been charged with two counts of acts intended to maim and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The 39-year-old man, also from Pimpama, has been charged with two counts of acts intended to maim and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils or pipes.

They are both due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
