Two men on the run after holding pub at gunpoint and firing shot into the floor

POLICE are on the hunt for two men who terrorised staff and customers at gunpoint at a Beenleigh tavern in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The pair stormed the Distillery Road tavern around 1.50am armed with saw off firearms and demanded cash from two female staffers, after 48 and 27, and a 42-year-old man who was a customer.

They also demanded access to a number of poker machines where they got access to even more money.

During the incident it appears one of the men fired off a shot from one of the guns into the floor.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the robbery.

Both of the men are described as Caucasian in appearance, aged between 18 to 25 years and were wearing runners, track pants, dark coloured hoodies, gloves and their faces covered.
