Two men on the run after out-of-control car crashes into pole, Gold Coast

Police are investigating a nasty car crash in Nerang overnight, after two men were spotted fleeing the scene.

Initial inquiries show a VW station wagon was travelling north on Beaudesert-Nerang Road just before 2.00am, when it lost control around a bend and clipped a power pole near Rusa Court.

The car then spun out, before finally coming to a stop about 100 metres from where it left the road.

Witnesses have reported seeing two males walking from the scene towards Mclaren Road.

Police say the pair are still on the run this morning, but investigations are continuing.

A Queensland Police spokesperson says it’s not clear just yet whether or not the vehicle was stolen.

Luckily no injuries were reported.

Here we go again, most likely a stolen car.
If caught most likely slap on the wrist and community service.
Car probably worth $20k or more.
If they robbed up a bank etc. would end up in Jail.
Laws don’t add up in this State!
