Police are investigating two separate carjackings on the Gold Coast after two drivers were forced to hand over the vehicles after being threatened.
A 25-year-old man was sitting in his silver Honda Accord eating breakfast in the car park of the McDonald’s at Harbour at around 5am on Saturday when he was approached by a man.
The man demanded the driver get out of the vehicle before driving off with the car.

Police say no weapons were used and the driver was not injured.
In a separate incident, a 26-year-old man was returning to his vehicle in the car park of the IGA on Olsen Ave at Labrador around 4.30pm on Saturday.
He was approached by a man who demanded his phone and keys, suggesting he had a weapon.
While no weapon was sighted, the victim complied before the man jumped into the driver’s seat and drove off, picking up a second male a short distance away.
No one was injured during the incident.
That vehicle was found burnt out on the Pacific Highway at Woolgoolga later that night.
Investigations into both incidents are continuing.
