Two of the “Irish Boys” facing bolier room scam charges released on bail

Two Gold Coast brothers accused of being involved in an alleged “boiler room” scam have been released from the Southport Watch House on bail.

Daniel and Aaron East took swings at the reports outside the Scarborough St facility one after the other to a middle-aged man and woman waiting with jackets.


The men covered their heads and took off down the street.

EARLIER: A drug syndicate known as the “Irish Boys” allegedly sold betting software to up to 200 people, defrauding up to $4 million.

The Crime and Corruption Commission investigation could increase and involve losses as large as $18 million and future money laundering charges, a court has been told.
