Two people hospitalised following separate snake bites on the Gold Coast

TWO men have spent the night in hospital after being bitten by snakes in separate incidents on the Gold Coast.

The first call came in around 8.30pm after a man was bitten on the foot on SeaWorld Drive at Main Beach.

The man did not show any symptoms but was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital as a precaution

Then, just half an hour later, a second man was bitten on the leg on Everest Drive at Southport.

He too was taken to the same hospital as a precaution.

It was not known what species of snake bit the men.

Both patients were taken to hospital in stable conditions.
