Two people injured in Southport dog attack

A man and woman have been taken to hospital following a dog attack in Southport.

Just before 7.00pm last night, emergency services were called to a home following reports two people had been injured by a dog.

The pair, whose ages are unknown, suffered serious bites to their hands, a Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed.

They were treated at the home by paramedics before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.

It’s not known what breed of dog was involved in the incident.
