Two people killed in horror car and truck smash on M1
Two people have died in a horror truck and car crash on the Pacific Motorway at Eight Mile Plains this morning.
Initial information suggests at 10.20am, a car and truck crashed in the southbound lanes of the motorway at the Logan Rd off-ramp.
Two people who were travelling in the car have died, and a third occupant has been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.
The truck driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was not physically injured.
The Pacific Motorway southbound is completely closed at the Logan Road off-ramp. Diversions are in place with motorists warned to expect lengthy delays.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
