UPDATE 8:44AM: Police have charged two men with weapons offences following an incident in Runaway Bay last night.
It’s alleged two men armed with a baseball bat and a rifle threatened a 35-year-old man at a Runaway Bay property.
Police tracked the vehicle to an address on Marina Quays Boulevard in Hope Island where the two men were arrested allegedly in possession of firearms and other weapons.

Two 33-year-old men, one from Hope Island and the other Upper Coomera, have been charged with two counts each of unlawful possession of weapons.
They are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on December 5.
No one was injured and it is believed the men were known to each other.
EARLIER 4:54AM: A man’s been left shaken after two men allegedly stormed his Runaway Bay home on Sunday night and threatened him with a gun.
Around 10.00pm, two armed men knocked on the door of a Runaway Bay home and apparently threatened the male resident.
The victim managed to call police, forcing the two men to take off.
That sparked a large-scale man hunt across the northern suburbs of the Gold Coast and with the help of Pol Air, officers managed to track down the pair at an address at Hope Island.
According to reports, the pair were found to be in possession of a large haul of weapons was found including rifles and baton-style objects.
The two men are currently being questioned at Southport Police Station.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
