Fire fighters have been called to a couple of fires in Palm Beach early this morning.
Crews were first called to the Gold Coast Highway and Duringan Street around 3.30am, following reports a small grass fire broke out.
One crew attended and took around 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, before leaving the scene just after 4.00am.

Only an hour and a half later, a second grass fire broke out at Pirate Park, just metres down the road.
Firies attended and took only 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
QFES confirmed that police and paramedics were not called to the scene.
It was a busy night for all emergency services in Palm Beach though, with paramedics called to assess five teenagers in a single vehicle crash.
