Two Police Officers have head injuries after they were assaulted in Sydney’s inner west.
The pair was called to Liverpool Road in Strathfield south, where it had been reported that two men were fighting.
When they got there they found a man running across the road and behaving erratically. When they walked up to him it’s claimed he lashed out.

The officers managed to get the situation under control. The man was treated by Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Concord Hospital.
The male and female officers were both treated for head injuries, with the female officer getting stitches in her forehead.
The 18-year-old man was released from hospital. He was taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with wounding and officer in the execution of their duty and assault police.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on June 23.
