Two teen boys charged over brutal assault at soccer match

Two teens have been charged following investigations into the assault of a boy at the completion of a soccer match at South Granville at the weekend.

A 17-year-old boy suffered a fractured jaw when he was allegedly assaulted by two boys after a match that was played at Ray Marshall Reserve on Sunday 27 September 2015.

Police commenced an investigation into the incident which resulted in two 16-year-old boys being charged at Kogarah Police Station yesterday, with causing reckless grievous bodily harm in company and affray.


Both boys were given bail and will appear in Parramatta Children’s Court on Monday 2 November 2015.
