Two teenagers charged over alleged Gold Coast scissor stabbing

Two teenagers have been arrested over allegedly stabbing a man with a pair of scissors.

It happened at a home on Yawakoah Road in Pimpama around 3.00pm yesterday afternoon.

Police say an argument had broke out between a 48-year-old man and the teenagers, before the man was allegedly stabbed in the chest, armpit and face with a pair of scissors.

Emergency services attended, and paramedics treated him briefly at the scene.

He was then taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Police found the two teens a short distance away from the property and they were taken into custody.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with wounding, while a 17-year-old girl has been charged with stealing.

They will both be dealt with under the The Youth Justice Act.
