Two teens charged after allegedly stealing multiple cars from Hope Island

Two teens have been charged after allegedly stealing cars from Hope Island earlier this week.

It’s alleged the Ford Mustang and Toyota Camry were taken from an address along Cova Boulevard on Monday morning.

They were then spotted in Eatons Hill in the Moreton Bay region, and were tracked to Everton Hills.

It’s there that the Mustang was stopped with a tyre deflation device, but the driver then allegedly got into the Toyota Camry and got away.

The Camry was then dumped at an address in Strathpine, where the two teens got into a third vehicle driven by a woman.

All three were arrested at Grahams Road a short time later.

A 17-year-old Strathpine boy has been charged with two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and receive tainted property along with burglary and failure to appear.

A 16-year-old boy from Eatons Hill has been charged with two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, receiving tainted property and possessing dangerous drugs.

He has also been charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence.

They’ll both front court this month.

While Queensland Police report a third car, a Mercedes SUV, was also stolen from Hope Island and was found in a nearby creek.

However, there are no details as to whether this relates to the two teenagers.
