Two teens escape with minor injuries after highway crash south of Sydney

Two teenagers have had a lucky escape after a crash on the Princes Highway south of Sydney on Monday night.

It’s understood the two 17-year-olds were travelling north on the Princes Highway, Unanderra, in a Mitsubishi Mirage at around 7.30pm when they crash in to a Ford Territory being driven by a 34-year-old man.

The male driver of the Mirage suffered head injuries and was taken to St George Hospital where he is in a stable condition.


His passenger was taken to Wollongong Hospital with shoulder and hip injuries.

The driver of the Territory sustained an injury to his wrist and was treated at the scene.

Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command continue their inquiries and would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
