Two teens hospitalised after car slammed into tree on the Gold Coast

Two teenagers have been hospitalised after a car crash on the Gold Coast overnight.

The pair were travelling along Tamborine Oxenford Road just before midnight, when their car lost control and hit a tree.

Multiple ambulance crews were called to the scene, including Critical Care Paramedics.

A woman in her late teens suffered chest and pelvic pain, while a man in his late teens was trapped in the vehicle and sustained chest pain.

Two fire fighter crews were called to the scene, where they had to cut away one of the car doors to free the man.

Queensland Fire and Ambulance confirmed that both people were out of the car by 12.40am.

Paramedics then rushed them both to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.
