Bruce Highway closed following horror truck rollover
UPDATE: Two men have now been rescued after becoming trapped in the wreckage of their truck following a horror rollover on the Sunshine Coast this morning.
Initial reports suggest the truck was travelling southbound on the Bruce Highway when it rolled into the median strip just south of Pignata Road around 5.30am.
One man, aged in his 20s, has been transported to Nambour Hospital with serious pelvic injuries.
Another man, aged in his 30s, is being treated at the scene. He is about to be airlifted to hospital with what is believed to be serious leg injuries.
The Bruce Highway has been closed in both directions at Palmview.
Traffic is being diverted southbound via Pignata Road and northbound via Frizzo Road.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area as there are significant delays in both directions.
