Two women allegedly stabbed in the head in Qld domestic

A man is assisting police with their inquiries after two women were allegedly stabbed in the head at a house west of Brisbane overnight.

Police were called to reports of an altercation between a man and two women at a Bridge Street, Wilsonton, home in Toowoomba at about 7pm.

Officers arrived to find the two women, aged 48 and 28, with head injuries.


It’s understood they had both been stabbed.

They were each treated and stabilised by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to Toowoomba Hospital by ambulance.

The older woman is believed to be in a serious condition.

According to reports, the women are believed to be mother and daughter.

A short time after the attack, police caught up with a 28-year-old man.

He was this morning in police custody assisting detectives with their investigation.

Both parties were known to each other, police said.

No charges have yet been laid.

Investigation are continuing.
