Two women assaulted with baton during terrifying Nerang home invasion

Police have released a computer generated image of a man after two women were brutally assaulted by a home intruder who broke into their Nerang unit.

Officers said that around 10.00pm on Friday November 4, a man unlawfully entered a unit in Martin Street.

While in the unit the man struck two women with a baton before demanding cash and leaving.

A 41-year-old woman and 62-year-old woman were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment of bruising and abrasions.

Police are now on the hunt for the man. He is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 30s or early 40s, approximately 180cm tall, of a medium build with short brown hair and a dragon type tattoo on the left side of his neck and tattoos on both lower legs.
