Two women hospitalised following separate car crashes, Gold Coast

Two women have been hospitalised following separate car incidents on the Gold Coast overnight.

Paramedics were first called to Pacific Pines following reports two cars had collided.

It happened along Pacific Pines Boulevard around 8.30 pm.


A woman in her 50s was assessed at the scene for a shoulder and ankle injury before she was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.

She’s understood to be in a stable condition.

Paramedics were later called to Smith Street in Southport after reports a car had crashed into a pole.

A woman in her 20s had suffered minor injuries in the incident around 10.15 pm.

She had to be taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Also overnight, a man suffered a significant head laceration after his bike crashed into a sign in Miami.

He’s in hospital in a serious condition.
