Two women in their 20s found dead in Sydney unit

A major investigation is underway after the bodies of two women were found inside a unit in Sydney’s south west.

Police made the grim discovery around 9.30am on Tuesday, after being called to a home on Canterbury Road in Canterbury following a concern for welfare report.

Upon arrival, officers entered the unit and located the bodies of two women inside.

They are yet to be formally identified but are believed to be aged in their 20s.

A crime scene has been established, which will continue to be examined by specialist forensic police today.

NSW Police say investigations into the circumstances surrounding their deaths continue.
