Two women stabbed and run over by man in horrifying attack

Two women have been struck by a car and stabbed in the car park of a community centre at Carramar this morning.

About 8.30am (Tuesday 18 August 2015), emergency services were called to the car park on Horsley Drive, following reports that two women had been injured.

Initial investigations suggest a woman, aged in her 30s, was assaulted before being struck by a car, driven by a man.

When another woman, believed to be aged in her 40s came to her aid, the man allegedly stabbed both women before crashing into them with a car, and fleeing.

Both women have been taken to Liverpool Hospital with serious injuries.

A crime scene has been established and investigations into the incident are continuing.

Police are hoping to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries. He was last seen driving a small dark coloured car.

Police urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Anyone who knows there whereabouts of the man or the car is urged not to approach, but to contact Triple Zero (‘000’) immediately.
