Two women stabbed after violent brawl erupts inside NSW unit

A woman has been charged following a stabbing at Coogee yesterday.

Police said that around 6.30pm, officers were called to a unit on Malabar Road following reports three women were involved in a violent brawl.

It’s alleged a dispute broke out between the trio at the unit, with one of the women producing a knife.


An 18-year-old was treated at the scene by paramedics for cuts to her neck, chin and hand before being rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious, but stable condition.

A second woman, 22, received a cut to her hand and was treated at the scene.

A 21-year-old woman ran from the unit, however she was arrested at a home in Redfern around 1.00am this morning.

She has since been charged with two counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and is due to appear at Central Local Court today.
