Two youths accused of robbing, assaulting Burleigh convenience store employee

GOLD Coast police are investigating after two teenagers robbed a convenience store at Burleigh Heads on October 16.

It’s alleged two juvenile offenders entered the store at about 11:50pm, when they stole a small quantity of stationary and proceeded to walk from the store before being stopped by the console operator.

Both juveniles, aged approximately 14 to 16 years old, then punched the console operator a number of times to his head causing small lacerations to his face and neck.

The offenders then ran outside and threw a bin at the store window causing minor damage before running from the scene.

Detectives are reviewing CCTV images of the incident and are appealing to any person who may have seen this incident to contact police.
