UBER driver wins appeal in Victoria
A court decision in Melbourne has effectively legalised UBER in Victoria.
A ride-sharing driver has won an appeal against a conviction for operating a commercial passenger vehicle without a licence.
Nathan Brenner was last year found guilty of two counts of operating without a licence and one count of driving a commercial passenger vehicle without accreditation.
But today, a judge dismissed the charges and ordered the Taxi Services Commission to pay the driver’s appeal costs.
